Our science enquiry has been building up to this final question: What would be the best material to use for making an umbrella?
Over the course of the half term we have tested every material we could get our hands on, including metals, woods, paper, card, fabric, glass and plastic. We have found out about the difference between human-made and natural materials and explored how they are used, all building up to this moment! We found that human-made materials are very strong and mostly waterproof, so we have settled on our final answer as nylon.
Well done Year 2, you have proved yourselves to be promising young scientists!
