The children in Reception have been learning about seasonal changes.
They went on an Autumn Hunt, looking for signs that remind us it is Autumn.
The children worked well with a partner to identify things on their Autumn list.
We found brown leaves, pine cones, fungi, berries and bare trees.
The children learnt that there are many vegetables to be harvested during the Autumn.
They were excited to see what the inside of a pumpkin was like.
They found it had seeds inside and understood that if we planted them we could grow more pumpkins.
One evening we left the pumpkin out and sprinkled flour around it to see if any creatures visited during the night.
The children were delighted to find footprints. I wonder what sort of creature it could be?
