In Year 2 we are continuing our investigation in to plants and how they grow. This week we looked at how although plants need water and sunlight to grow, too much or too little will kill them.
We learnt about the Japanese art of hapa zome, which means to print from plants by sandwiching them between pieces of fabric and gently tapping with a rock to apply pressure and imprint from the pigment in the leaves and petals. If a plant is not moist enough and healthy, then the technique will not work.
