The children have been learning about Ancient Egypt. During one of their lessons they learnt about how the Egyptians transported water from the Nile. They made a system called a Shaduf. It was either a square or tripod shape and had a bucket to collect the water from the River. We have made some using art straws and tape. 
Our RE topic this term is Judaism. We have learnt about the Jewish festival of Succot. It is a harvest festival. Jewish people often make huts in their gardens at this time of year and decorate them with fruit and pictures. Here is a model of one which both classes have made.
