We have been very fortunate to grow our own caterpillars.
The children were amazed how quickly the tiny caterpillars grew.
We read the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar,
so we were expecting them to change as they grew.
The caterpillars started to hang from the lid of their pot. We watched as they formed their chrysalis.
It seemed to take a long time for the caterpillars to grow their wings, but finally they emerged.
The children were very excited to release the butterflies.
We will be looking out for them in our garden!
