Year 6 enjoyed the Zoo Lab workshop during Science Week last week.
Here are some pictures: we were able to stroke an albino snake, a gecko, a cockroach but not the tarantula! The zoologist had some fascinating stories about all the animals he had encountered around the world on his extensive travels. He had been lucky enough to see the largest mammal on the planet, which is the blue whale. Its tongue weighs as much as an elephant and its heart is the size of a car!
