Little Scientists

 We have enjoyed taking part in John Bramston's Science Week. 

As part of our topic, we have been building houses from different materials,
just like the Three Little Pigs. 

We used a fan to see which house would blow away. The straw house was definitely not the strongest. 

Then we investigated the materials in water to see what would happen.
Ask your child what happened to the wooden house.

Following our story of Jack and the Beanstalk we decided to grow our own beans.

I wonder if we will get to climb our beanstalks?

We have found out a lot about growing plants.

We also did some exciting investigations using sparkling water and still water. 

The children were very excited to see what happens to raisins when they are placed in sparking water.

We definitely have some budding scientists in Reception.
