Arts Week: Keith Haring in Year 2

As part of our celebration of Arts Week this week, Year 2 took our learning outside to draw each other as Keith Haring figures. We can't wait to show you the finished composition...

TingaTinga art

We had a fun Arts Week in Reception.

As part of our topic we are finding out about animals from Africa.
We learnt about an artist from Tanzania called Edward Tingatinga.
We looked at his artwork and used this to inspire the children.
The children made prints of animals.

First, they etched their design onto a sheet of polystyrene.

Then, they chose the colours to roll onto the sheet.

Finally, they printed their design onto paper. The artwork looks amazing.

Arts week in Year 1

Today we used our creative mind to read some traditional tales together in groups. Then we changed the characters in the books and re told them to the class.

Drama Workshop- Year 2
