This week we read the story 'Where the Wild Things Are' by Maurice Sendak.
We talked about the main character, Max, and how he travels to where the Wild Things are.
"And an ocean tumbled by with a private boat for Max and he sailed off through night and day."
Today, we explored recyclable materials...
...and made our own private boats.
Then we tested them to see if they would float.
After Max made his journey across the ocean, he met the Wild Things and became their king.
The children made their own crowns and became Kings and Queens of the Wild Things. They enjoyed being creative and wearing their crowns.
