Today we looked at floating and sinking.
We talked about what we should see if an object floats and what we can expect to see if an object sinks.
The children all chose an object from the classroom to test.
Before testing, we talked about what we think will happen.
The children then put their objects in water to observe whether they floated or not.
Some children correctly predicted that the metal spoon will sink and the plastic spoon will float.
The children were able to play freely in the water afterwards and had lots of fun.
