Today, November 13th, is Michael Rosen Day.
To celebrate this wonderful author, we looked at the story
We're Going on a Bear Hunt, which was written by him.
We listened to him read the story (a link to the video can be found at the end of this post), and went on a sensory bear hunt of our own.
In the story, the family encounter many different things, such as...
Long, wavy grass
A deep, cold river.
Thick, oozy mud.
A narrow, gloomy cave.
We talked about what would happen if we went on our very own bear hunt and where he would hide in our school.
Children designed the wellies they would wear on the hunt...
Children also drew and coloured their own bear faces.
