Today in Year 2, we investigated the art of Eva Rothschild who is a British abstract sculptor. She is very interested in sharp angles and straight lines. What we like about abstract art is that everyone can see something different in the piece and their own opinions are right.
We decided to play with this idea by making our own abstract sculptures using cocktail sticks and marshmallows in teams. We found that the strongest shape was a triangle, and we used this to make bigger structures!
