EXPLORE SPACE - SCIENCE MUSEUM
On Friday Year 5 travelled to South Kensington to visit the Science Museum.
We first looked around the 'Explore Space' gallery. We saw the spacesuit used by astronaut Helen Sharman, found out the first man to travel into space was Yuri Gagarin and even saw a piece of the moon!
"I enjoyed learning about how pollution is damaging the planet and melting the ice. It taught me to help the planet and stop creating so much pollution." - Jessica, 5O.
"I learned from the film that being an astronaut is fun and exciting! They had to workout to keep themselves fit - in space there is no gravity so they have to workout to stop their muscles from becoming weak." - Umar, 5O.
“I liked when they
said that we need to help the environment. They told us we need to stop cutting
down trees.” Viktoria, 5N.
“We need to treat the planet kindly. There are now patches of green where trees were which are now brown. I also learned that there are billions of stars .” – Misha, 5N.
