Eid Mubarak

Over the last month the children have been learning about Ramadan.

They have learnt how fasting is very important to Muslims.
As Ramadan came to a close, the children learnt how Muslim families celebrate
 the end of Ramadan with Eid.

We learnt that families get together to celebrate Eid with prayers, gifts, charity and sharing meals.

Some of our families shared food from their Eid preparations and the children shared the meal together. This was a great learning opportunity for children
to socialise, talk and understand the importance of Eid.

We had a visit from one of our parents, who talked to the children about Eid.

 
The children also had the opportunity to design their own Mehndi patterns.

After Eid, some of the children talked to the class about their own celebrations with their family.
