SCIENCE in 6 Farah

Our current topic in Science this half term is Animals Including Humans and we have been studying the circulatory system in particular.

We used a stethoscope to listen to our heart beating and looked at the model skeleton to understand how the internal organs are protected.

The best bit of the lesson was yet to come though as Miss Houghton had managed to get a pig's heart, lungs (with windpipe still attached) and liver from the local butcher for us to examine (she does this every year for Year 6 - THANK YOU MISS HOUGHTON!). A pig's heart is meant to be closest in size to that of a human being.
It was the most disgusting fun we've had this year!!
