Shapes around us

 This week we have been finding out about shapes around us.

We know the names of simple flat shapes and have been learning the names of 3D shapes too. 

We are beginning to describe the shapes by using the words 'faces', 'corners/vertices' and 'edges'.

The children have been busy using shapes to create pictures.

The children have been finding objects around the home and looking at the faces,
vertices and edges to help them name the shape.
