Year 6 are enjoying their exploration of pop art

In our art topic of Cityscapes, we've been looking at artists from the pop art movement.  Andy Warhol was famous for creating repeated images of celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe as well everyday objects such as soup cans. Often his work was brightly coloured and unrealistic.  This art came after WW2. Everybody wanted colour, change and a brighter future . This art was mass produced so was inexpensive.

We have taken the idea of Andy Warhol and created our own artwork. We hope you like them.
