Autumn

We have been learning about Autumn.

We went for a walk to find signs of Autumn. We worked with our partner to identify what we found.

We learned about harvesting food. In particular, we were very interested
 in finding out what was inside a pumpkin. 

There were seeds!

We told Autumn stories at our story table. 

The woodland creatures even had a home carved from a pumpkin.

We did some observational drawing. We looked at colours and shapes to create our pictures.

We have seen some creatures in our garden recently. 

The squirrels enjoyed eating our pumpkins. 

We also set a trap to identify other creatures who came to visit. 

The footprints in the flour showed us that something else had visited our garden.
The children came up with some suggestions; a fox, a wolf, a dog or a cat.

To develop our pencil control, we traced some pictures of things that represent Autumn,
such as conkers, leaves and acorns.

We even made some dough leaves.
