Year 3 3D Insects!

In year 3 we have been looking at Insects in Art.

First, we used our designs to create the shape of the insect that we wanted out of newspaper and then we covered that shape in Modroc. 

When the modroc sculptures were dry we painted the insect’s bodies ready to attach the rest of the body parts, such as; the wings, antenna and legs.

Finally, we attached the rest of the body parts to complete our 3D sculptures.

We had so much fun doing this art project and can't wait to bring them home!
