Fireworks

This week, the children have been learning about Bonfire Night.
We found out about Guy Fawkes and how his plan to blow up Parliament failed.
The day of 5th November is celebrated by watching firework displays.
The children discussed the importance of firework safety.

We have also been learning about the festival of Diwali.
Firework displays also play an important part of the celebrations.

The children listened to the story of Rama and Sita and have been using puppets to retell the story.
The children also created firework pictures by writing their names in glitter,
to be displayed in the classroom, as well as Rangoli patterns.

We also had the opportunity to taste some Indian food.
