In Year 2 our Art topic is Let's Sculpt!
We have been learning about lots of different artists and different types of sculptures.
Figurative sculptures are sculptures that look realistic, here are some examples.
Abstract sculptures are based on objects or figures but are not realistic, here are some examples.
The first artist we learnt about was Marc Quinn. He is a figurative sculptor who uses unusual materials such as ice, dough and even blood!
We used Marc Quinn as our inspiration and used bread dough to make our own hand sculptures. What do you think?
