Maths Outdoor Learning: Negative Numbers & Addition

 

To help us with our addition we used a grid in the playground and some balls. This helped us to align our place value and decide whether we needed to regroup. 

         We have also been learning about negative numbers. We drew a number line ranging from -10 to 10 and practised moving along it. We were asked to solve sums such as -5 + 8 and 3 - 9.
