Soccer Aid 2022 at the London Stadium
The John Bramston community had a wonderful experience at the London Stadium last night celebrating and supporting Unicef and Soccer Aid.
I think we can all agree that UNICEF have been amazing to us as a school and community with our incredible first hand experience with Sir Mo Farah and Liam Payne, as well as the whole school opportunity to attend the Soccer Aid main event.
From everyone here at J.B., thank you so much to the Soccer Aid team for their generosity in inviting the school to attend. The pupils have been quite vocal about it this morning; here's a flavour of what they've shared:
"The atmosphere was insanely loud. I have a lot of gratitude and I hope we will keep our status as top fundraisers for Unicef."
"I liked the song Angels from Robbie Williams when he performed at half time, and the Mexican wave."
"I think it was amazing. It was lovely and an amazing opportunity for the school and it was the best day ever."
"Awesome! Epic! Mind-Blowing!"
"It was exciting to see so many famous footballers in one day and seeing so many friends in the stadium. I was very happy having that kind of experience."
"It was really fun being at the stadium and I'm really glad all the money goes to Unicef so kids around the world don't have to live in horrible conditions."
"I think the match was the best game I watched. It was truly amazing. I had lots of fun. Thank you Unicef."
"I thought it was very fun to watch and it was very kind of Unicef to give the tickets to a primary school."
"Thank you Unicef for the tickets. It was a great experience and a lovely atmosphere. I hope Unicef helps a lot of kids around the world. Thank you Unicef."
"The atmosphere was great and as soon as someone scored, the stadium would go wild. I also think it's a big achievement for Soccer Aid to raise so much money from donations."
Thanks again to Unicef and the Soccer Aid team. We hope to do you proud with our own fundraising event in the next few weeks for the Soccer Aid Playground Challenge.
