We have been learning about Remembrance Day and why people wear poppies.
Children brought in coins to buy their own poppy.
They were busy using their fine motor skills to follow patterns with a pencil to create a drawn poppy.
The children also found out that you don't always have to use paintbrushes with paint.
Finger printing is a great way to create poppies.
We used Google Street View to find a Memorial that is decorated with poppies on Remembrance Day. The children were very excited to recognise it from their local area, next to the library!
One child created the Memorial with Duplo.
The children developed their cutting skills when they made these amazing poppies.
